M6’S NEW SEASON WITH NEW PROGRAMS AND NEW FACES
Karine Le Marchand will be hosting « Une ambition intime » (An Intimate Ambition), where presidential candidates will be seen from a more personal side… The start date is still a secret! On the investigative journalism front, Ophélie Meunier (ex-Canal +) is taking over « Zone Interdite ». YANN BARTHES OFFICIALLY A STAR HOST?
The season has started well for TMC with the premiere of « Quotidien » (Daily), hosted by Yann Barthès last Monday: 1.3 million viewers for a 6.3% share. This is far above the channel’s expectations as they announced they wanted to “double the slot’s ratings of 300 000 viewers.” Acclaimed in the press and on social networks, the show is rivalling « Touche pas à mon poste » (C8). On the other hand, Barthès’ former program, « Le Petit Journal » now hosted by Cyrille Eldin only reached 583 000 viewers: a stark decrease since Barthès’ departure… To be continued! Discover is arriving on Snapchat in France. The feature was already available since January 2015 in the UK, with content from CNN, the Daily Mail or Cosmopolitan. Discover allows users to access directly the news from some of the major news media – L’Equipe, Le Monde, Paris Match, Melty, Konbini, Vice, Tastemade, Cosmopolitan.
